I Was Phished, Scammed or Hacked. What Should I Do?

Unfortunately, due to the irreversible nature of blockchains, successful transactions are final and cannot be reversed. If your token was sent to another account, only that account’s owner has the authority to send it back.

The Solscan team has no way to reverse transactions or block and censor users. It is very difficult to track down and recover stolen funds. In this case, we can only advise you to create a whole new wallet (with new seed phrases) and consider the old one lost.

If you don’t know how you got scammed, here are some possibilities that can cause you in this ruckus:

  • You connected your wallet to a malicious website that impersonated a project’s actual website. After that, your wallet was drained.
  • You received a NFT in your wallet and you tried to claim the airdrop token by clicking the link.
  • You downloaded a malware program into your computer, and your computer might be compromised.
  • Your secret recovery phrase was exposed without your knowledge.

Always exercise caution before you connect your wallet or execute any transactions.
