Polygon zkEVM
Clicking on the transaction hash or searching the transaction hash in {{explorer}} will bring you to the transaction details page. If you are confused about the terms "transaction hash" and "address," you may refer to our other article to learn more about Polygon zkEVM addresses.
Navigating a Transaction Details Page (Regular Transfer)
A. Overview: The tab that displays the information that relates to the transaction.
B. Comments: The tab that displays the Disqus comment section of the block.
Overview Tab
- Transaction Hash: TxHash for short, this is a unique 66-character identifier generated with each new transaction.
- Status: Show the progress of the transaction: Success, Pending, or Failed.
- Block: The precise number of the block in which your transaction was included on the blockchain.
- Timestamp: Shows how long ago the transaction was made. Can be toggled with Date Time (UTC) to display the date and time at which the transaction was made.
- Transaction Action: A summarized description of what's happening in the transaction.
- From: The user account (or wallet address) from where the transaction was originally sent.
- To: The user account (or wallet address) to which a particular transaction is sent."To" indicates transfers sent to another normal or externally owned address (EOA).
- Value: The amount of ETH transferred in the transaction.
- Transaction Fee: The sum paid in ETH to a sequencer for processing the transaction.
- Gas Price: The per-unit-cost specified for the transaction in ETH and a sub-unit known as Gwei.
- Gas Limit & Usage by Txn: Maximum amount of computational work in units of gas allocated for the transaction and the amount of gas actually used up for the transaction.
- Gas Fees: Base Fee is the network base fee at the time of the block.
- Other Attributes: Other properties that includes the nonce and the position of the transaction in the block. Nonce is a transaction counter in each account, used to prevent relay attacks.
- Input Data: Typically added in as part of contract interaction or as a message sent to the recipient.
Navigating a Transaction Details Page (Contract Interactions)

- L1 Verified Batch Tx Hash: The L1 transaction in which this L2 batch is being verified.
- Interacted With (To): The user account (or wallet address) to which a particular transaction is sent. “Interacted With (To)” is displayed for a transaction involving a smart contract interaction.
- {{token}} Tokens Transferred: The amount of {{token}} token transferred in the transaction upon interacting with the contract.
