What is “Funding out”?
On Solscan Account page, Funding Out shows the wallets that this account has initially funded. It reverses the usual funding view, allowing you to trace the first flow of funds outward from an account.
What “Funding Out” Means
When a wallet receives funds for the first time, the sending account is recorded as its initial funder.
Funding Out examines this relationship from the sender’s perspective. It identifies the accounts for which the wallet being viewed served as the initial funding source.
For example, if Wallet A provided the first funding transaction to Wallet B, Solscan displays:
- Wallet A as Funded by on Wallet B’s Account Details page
- Wallet B under Funding Out on Wallet A’s Account Details page
This makes it possible to trace where an account initially distributed funds without reviewing its entire transaction history manually.
Funding Out vs. Funded by
Both features describe the same initial funding relationship, but from opposite directions.

How to Find Funding Out on Solscan
To view the Funding Out data for an account:
- Search for an account address on Solscan.
- Open its Account Details page.
- Find the More Info section.
- Locate Funding Out, directly below Funded by.
The number displayed beside Funding Out represents how many accounts were initially funded by the account being viewed.
Select View to open the related activity. Solscan automatically applies the Funding action filter, allowing you to inspect the funded accounts and their corresponding transactions.

Initial funding alone does not prove common ownership, direct affiliation, or ongoing control.
The funding account may belong to an exchange, service, program, intermediary, or another unrelated entity. Funding Out should therefore be treated as a starting point for further investigation rather than conclusive evidence of a connection.

Funding Out only covers transactions in which the account provided the initial funding to another account.
It does not include every subsequent transfer or represent the wallet’s complete outgoing transaction history.
