What is Moonscan?

Note: Moonriver on Kusama is a companion network to Moonbeam and provides a permanently incentivized canary network. New code ships to Moonriver first, where it can be tested and verified under real economic conditions. Once proven, the same code ships to Moonbeam on Polkadot.

Moonscan is the leading block explorer for Moonbeam Chain. A block explorer is a search engine that allows users to easily look up, confirm, and validate transactions that have taken place on Moonbeam Chain.

Moonbeam Chain has a public ledger (like a decentralized database) which Moonscan.io indexes and then makes available this information through our site. Our mission is to facilitate Blockchain transparency by indexing and making searchable all transactions on Moonbeam Chain in the most transparent and accessible way possible.

Moonscan is not a wallet service provider, we do not store your private keys and we have no control over the transactions that take place in the Moonbeam Chain network. As such, we are not able to provide any help in reversing/redirecting transactions or recovering lost funds.

In addition, we also provide a set of load-balanced robust API Services that can be used to either build decentralized applications or to serve as data feeds for Moonbeam Chain information.
